Improving Community Health Through Hygiene
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to improving community health through hygiene education, access to essential sanitary resources, and advocacy for cleaner, healthier lives.

Our Mission
At Health Through Hygiene, we believe that access to proper hygiene is one of the most fundamental and impactful advancements in public health, preventing disease and improving overall well-being. Our mission is to promote hygiene education and access to essential hygiene resources, particularly in marginalized communities, to empower individuals with the tools they need for a healthier future. By addressing this crucial yet often overlooked aspect of health, we strive to create lasting change and equitable opportunities for all.

How You Can Help
Send a Donation
Health Through Hygiene accepts donations in two forms: hygienic goods, which we distribute directly through our community partnerships, or monetary contributions to help us acquire hygienic goods for distribution. We are committed to transparency and will provide donors with detailed information on how their contributions are used to make a tangible impact. We can be contacted here to arrange a donation.
Become a Volunteer
Health Through Hygiene is always looking for passionate volunteers to help us advance our mission. If you’re interested in making a difference, reach out to us with a brief message about why you’d like to volunteer, and we’ll get back to you with exciting opportunities to get involved!

Why Hygiene?
Good hygiene is crucial for overall health, dignity, and well-being. Lack of access to basic hygiene products can be detrimental in many ways, especially to those already marginalized.
Health Risks
Insufficient access to hygiene products like soap, deodorant, and feminine care can lead to skin infections, rashes, and other preventable health issues.
Social & Mental Well-being
Not having access to hygiene essentials can contribute to social stigma, exclusion, and lower self-esteem, particularly among at-risk youth who may face bullying or isolation.
Barriers to Access
Marginalized communities, including those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and systemic discrimination, often struggle to afford or access hygiene products, affecting their health and overall quality of life.
Impact on At-Risk and Homeless Youth
At-risk and homeless youth often lack the resources for personal hygiene, leading to negative impacts on their physical, emotional, social, and academic development. Many youth experiencing poverty or homelessness struggle to access hygiene facilities, a problem worsened since the COVID-19 pandemic.
By providing essential hygiene products, we aim to foster healthier, more confident individuals and build stronger, more resilient communities.
